What is VST file format?
VST (Virtual Studio Technology) is a file format developed by Steinberg which allows the integration of audio applications and effects into a computer-based digital audio workstation. It is mainly used by audio software plugins to enable them to work with a host audio application, allowing users to create music by combining different plug-ins, virtual instruments and effects. VST files are usually in the form of a .dll (Dynamic Link Library) file, and contain information such as the plugin name, version, creator, and other data. VST plugins are available for a wide range of audio applications, such as Pro Tools, Logic, FL Studio, Ableton Live, and many more. VST is a very popular format and is used by many professional sound engineers and producers.
